Who The Fu?
Family-run, flavour-packed since 2018
From chippy chips to steaming bowls
Hospitality's always been in our blood
Our founder grew up with salt and vinegar in the air, their dad ran a local chippy, so food was part of life from day one.
Fast forward to 2018 and Maggie Fu opened its first doors on Smithdown Road, Liverpool. The vision? To bring the buzz of Asian dining to the city, but with a bold, modern twist.
Not just food the Fu Experience
Flames, flavour, and a little bit of theatre
Branding has always mattered to us, from the bright neon’s and bold interiors to the iconic Maggie Fu cups. But at the end of the day, it’s all about the food: steaming bowls, generous portions, and authentic flavours.
Everything’s cooked fresh in our open kitchen, wok flames flying just like the hawker stalls of Malaysia.
Growing the fu family
Smithdown. Hanover & New brighton
Started on Smithdown in 2018. Leveled up to Hanover in 2021. And by 2025? We took the party to New Brighton, same bowls, same fire, just a new side of the water.
Heart, heritage & salt & pepper chicken
Keeping it real since day one
Maggie Fu has always been family-run, with even the kids rolling up their sleeves along the way.
That’s what makes us who we are: a restaurant built on heritage, authenticity, and whole lot of heart.
It’s simple: bringing people together, one bowl at a time.
